American International Aluminum Where Quality is an Action Verb
|
Quality: ISO 9001-2000
Early on, AIA recognized that OEM manufacturers,
fabricators and processors required certifiably reliable
sources. Always, ISO practices are observed in every
aspect of the manufacture, sales and service process.
Getting the wrong material “on time” is not an option.
As an integral part of insuring quality, AIA provides full
mill test reports (MTRs) for all material sold to
customers. Test reports are analyzed to insure that
chemistry and mechanical properties are achieved prior
to shipment.
Regardless of the specific product, you can rest assured
that AIA has validated the material to your process and
final part. The customer provides the specification, then
AIA asks for additional details such as exact “end use”
and what manufacturing process is used to get it to that
part. By analyzing the process, we make certain that
we are selecting or producing the right material to meet
your spec AND successfully make the part.
Focusing on “NAFTA” sales, paperwork completion and
correctness is an absolute necessity. Every document is
generated, proofed and then rechecked before
transmitting to customer and forwarder. Over the
years, we have incorporated different customers’
specific paperwork requirements to “standardize” our
regular packet going to customers and forwarders.
Even so, some customers will require a different
document or packet. As part of our quality process,
these exceptions are noted and then implemented with
each release or order. The by-product of this practice
ensures that every customer, international or domestic,
receives the correct documentation every time.
